The Official Catawba Standardized Dictionary

Since the 1990's many Catawba citizens, linguists, and volunteers have worked on the revitalization of the Catawba language in both formal and informal settings. This work continued in various ways until 2017 with the establishment of the Catawba Language Group. For the last 7 years, this group has gathered to discuss, debate, and decide on a standardized pathway forward, eventually leading to the publication of this first edition of the Standardized Catawba Dictionary.
