This piece, by renowned Catawba potter Eric Canty, is a spectacular vase with a most impressive polish. The hues are mottled black, grey and reddish brown. The piece is approximately 4" X 7" and would look amazing on any shelf or mantle. This piece was also created in our time honored pottery tradition. The Catawba never used wheels, paints, or slip poured pieces. They were all done by hand with pipe or pan clay or a mixture of the two depending on the size of the piece and fired in outdoor firing pits or fire places depending upon the weather. This is truly a heritage piece.
